Mike, Captain:

First time at mast top!

Law enforcement by day, researcher of all things sailing and cruising by night. 🙂

I have been in law enforcement since 1995. I served for 4 years as a military policeman in the U.S. Air Force [traveling to 36 different countries]. After serving in the military, I worked for the North Richland Hills, Texas Police Department for more than 18 years then retired. I was a field training officer, hostage negotiator on the SWAT team, and bicycle patrol officer. Since retiring in December, 2017, I was hired by the Tarrant County Crimnal District Attorney’s Office as a Criminal Investigator.

For several years I operated successful part time businesses. A home inspection business [which unfortunately had to be closed due to an on-duty injury] and a website development business which helps small and medium sized businesses establish an effective web presence.

Kesha, First Mate:

Kesha's first sailboat outing

She’s still getting her sea legs and embracing the dream of living on a sailboat one day and traveling the world. Kesha is a high school social studies teacher and enjoys motivating her students to excel and achieve more than they ever dreamed possible. This has led her to begin pursuing a career of being a motivational/inspirational speaker, a dream she’s had for quite a while.

Ethan, Deck Hand:

Little sailor in training!

Ethan really likes sailing and has taken to it very well! He’s our young sailor-in-training.

Karma, Boat Dog:

Karma

Our faithful sidekick. She didn’t like boats, docks or water initially, but she’s become very accustomed now and really enjoys her time on the water.
